Earlier this month, Dr. Robert Stanley embarked on a nine month, nationally acclaimed dental implant training continuum, The Augusta University AAID Maxi Course. Led by Dr. Douglas Clepper, this course focuses on providing the dental practitioner with all of the clinical skills and evidenced based knowledge needed to integrate dental implants into his or her active dental practice. Dr. Clepper is considered a pioneer in dental implants. Dr. Rob said, “It was an honor and a real treat to be able to hear his perspective on the evolution of implantology.”
As a Diplomate with the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI), Dr. Rob is well-versed in placing and restoring dental implants in his Cary NC dental practice. Dr. Stanley will be also be credentialed as a Diplomate with American Academy of Implant Dentistry once he completes the continuum.
The Augusta University training course includes hands-on live patient experiences in their state-of-the-art facilities. The program focus is on providing a comprehensive dental implant experience, including implant and beautiful restoration (dental crown). The course also includes lectures and experimentation with bone and tissue grafting, as well an emphasis on the use of CBCT in diagnosis and planning for optimal dental implant outcomes.
