Get KöR Whitening & Change a Child's Life
KöR whitening is the top-of-the-line whitening treatment that I recommend to all of my patients who want brighter, whiter smiles.
like coffee, red wine, and soda have a tendency to stain even the most resilient teeth. Over time, a smile that may have been a brilliant white in your teens can become dingy later in life. Luckily, your smile doesn’t have to stay that way.
At Stanley Dentistry, we’ve performed thousands of teeth whitening treatments. Our highly trained dentists, assistants, and hygienists know the best processes to make sure you leave our office post-treatment looking and feeling more confident in your smile. With the right post-procedure care, you’ll have the smile of your dreams for years to come!
We offer three options to give you a brighter smile: at-home teeth whitening, Zoom!, and KöR Whitening Deep Bleaching. Each unique method provides different levels of whitening depending on the patient. Before you decide which type is for you, we recommend coming into our office for a consultation to talk with a doctor about your specific case.
The first option is the NiteWhite at-home teeth whitening system from Phillips Zoom!. NiteWhite is a safe and exceptionally fast take-home teeth whitening option that yields almost immediate results. The special overnight whitening gel helps remove stains from the enamel of the teeth using the safe active ingredient Carbamide Peroxide.
This process consists of an initial visit where a Stanley Dentistry dentist will fit you with custom-made whitening trays to wear at night. Coming into the office for your trays ensures that they’re comfortable and don’t inhibit your natural bite. At home, you simply pour the prescription-level whitening gel into the trays, pop them over your teeth, and wear them while you sleep. Patients typically see a noticeable difference in 7-10 nights.
Tooth enamel is mostly composed of calcium phosphate minerals. NiteWhite’s patented ACP (Amorphous Calcium Phosphate) technology naturally bonds with the tooth’s surface. This reduces sensitivity during the whitening process, improves smoothness, and lessens the risk of fade-back over time.
If you’re looking for an affordable and convenient whitening option, NiteWhite may be for you. However, if you have particularly deep staining, chances are NiteWhite won’t have much of an effect. Depending on your case, our in-office whitening treatments may work better.
That’s where our next option for teeth whitening comes in. Zoom! whitening is a revolutionary in-office whitening treatment that has soared in popularity over the last decade because of its low cost and dramatic results. In just one visit to our office, you can have a smile that’s eight shades whiter than the one you had before.
The procedure begins with a short preparation to isolate and protect your lips and gums. Your dentist may recommend a routine cleaning before the treatment to ensure the best results. A dental assistant will then apply the Zoom! Teeth Whitening Gel and turn on a specially-designed light. The light activates the whitening gel, prompting the hydrogen peroxide in the gel to connect to (and thus weaken) the stained molecules. Your dental assistant will complete this twenty-minute process a total of three times during your visit.
Some patients with tooth sensitivity find the treatment a little uncomfortable which is the biggest drawback of the treatment. Still, for most, Zoom! is easy, painless, and affordable.
The most powerful teeth whitening option that we offer is the world-renowned KöR Whitening Deep Bleaching™ system. At the moment, KöR is the most reliable, painless, and effective teeth bleaching system on the market. KöR typically delivers smiles that are sixteen shades whiter! Compared to Zoom!, that’s a huge difference.
For deep staining, KöR is by far the best option. Zoom! is more for surface-level whitening while KöR works against stains you’ve had all your life. KöR can even remove tetracycline stains from teeth, which was previously thought to be impossible with other whitening gel methods.
KöR treatment includes both at-home and in-office processes. Two weeks before coming in for your KöR appointment, your dentist will give you an at-home kit that includes a dental tray and a special gel. The overnight tray allows for longer periods of gel exposure which makes for whiter end results. Patients have to be diligent about using the KöR at-home kit every night before their appointment. If they aren’t, the treatment won’t be as effective.
When a KöR patient eventually does come into the office, the appointment is fairly short. The final step in the KöR process involves a dentist applying a breathing gel to your teeth. Depending on your desired results, you may have to come in for a second office visit.
Although KöR is the best option out of the three, it’s also the most expensive. As with Zoom!, it’s best to come in for a consultation first to see which whitening option would work best for you.
The speed at which you can get white teeth at the dentist depends on the method and type of whitening treatment used. For example, professional in-office whitening treatments with a dental light can provide you with almost immediate results, while at-home whitening kits take several weeks or more to achieve your desired level of whiteness. At Stanley Dentistry, we offer professional teeth whitening services that are tailored to meet the individual needs of our clients. Our Zoom whitening treatments are fast and effective, allowing you to get white teeth in just one visit. We also offer Kor Whitening for a deeper whitening result. We offer at-home whitening kits that are customized for each client, ensuring long-lasting results. Whether you want to make a drastic change or just lighten your teeth a few shades, our experienced team is here to help you achieve your perfect smile.
It is possible to get brighter, whiter teeth in a variety of ways. One of the most common options is Zoom! Teeth Whitening, a professional treatment that can be done in your dentist’s office. Zoom! Teeth Whitening uses a light-activated bleaching gel to brighten your teeth. This procedure can be completed in just one hour, and your dentist may also offer take-home products to extend the whitening results. If you’re looking for a more convenient option, at-home teeth whitening kits are available for purchase. These kits typically include a whitening gel and customized trays that fit over your teeth. At-home teeth whitening kits require more time than Zoom! Teeth Whitening, but you can whiten your teeth at your own pace and in the comfort of your own home. For those who want to achieve the most dramatic results, KöR Whitening Deep Bleaching™ may be an option. This professional whitening system involves both in-office and at-home treatments, and it can lighten your teeth up to 16 shades. Your dentist will create custom whitening trays for you to use at home, and they will also provide you with a special maintenance gel that can help keep your teeth bright and white.
The cost of teeth whitening depends on the type and method chosen. Zoom! Whitening, a chairside procedure done in-office, usually costs around $500. KöR Whitening, another chairside procedure, can cost up to $1,200 or more. Take home whitening kits, which provide whitening trays and a professional-strength bleaching gel, typically cost about $300 to $400. Generally speaking, take home whitening kits are the most cost-effective option, but chairside procedures such as Zoom! and KöR can provide more dramatic results. Ultimately, the best option for teeth whitening will depend on an individual’s budget and desired results.
Whitening will not remove plaque from your teeth. If we notice a build-up of plaque, we will recommend that you get a full cleaning before your whitening treatment.
On average, whitening lasts for around three years. This number can be bigger if you stay away from things that can stain your teeth, like red wine, tea, and tobacco.
The color of teeth and bad breath are not normally connected. Not brushing and flossing, being dehydrated, and having tonsil stones are some of the most common causes of bad breath — none of which has anything to do with how your teeth actually look. Sometimes, tooth decay can cause bad breath. In that case, a filling will help but whitening won’t. Whitening is a purely cosmetic treatment.
There are some at-home products that you can use to brighten your smile like baking soda and certain whitening kinds of toothpaste. However, it’s important to keep in mind that, for most people, these methods yield paltry results. You may see a shade or two difference but baking soda will not bring a dramatic change. If it could, we’d be using it in the office! For best results, come in for a consultation to see which in-office whitening option is right for you.
A lot of our patients assume that teeth whitening can cause long-term dental problems. Fortunately, that isn’t true. Both Zoom! and Kor whitening are completely safe. Beyond some mild sensitivity, most patients report zero post-procedure complications.
