Over the weekend, Dr. Bobbi Stanley received The Mastership Award presented by The Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) in Philadelphia. The Mastership Award is the highest honor available at the AGD and one of the more respected designations within the profession. Dr. Stanley joins a rarefied status as one of only 2,300 active recipients of the AGD Mastership award. To receive the award, recipients must complete over 1000 hours of continuing dental education.
The Academy of General Dentistry is a professional association of more than 37,000 general dentists dedicated to providing quality dental care and oral health education to the public. Founded in 1952, the AGD is the second largest dental association in the United States and is the only professional association that exclusively represents the needs and interests of general dentists. The AGD provides its members with resources, support, and inspiration to deliver exceptional dental care to their patients.
“I am so excited to have completed my Mastership. This means I am a well-rounded dentist, and I can serve my patients in even more capacities. I am thankful for my family and friends who have encouraged me to work for this achievement,” said Dr. Bobbi.
In addition to completing 1000 hours of dental education, Dr. Bobbi and Dr. Robert Stanley have begun to train other dentists in the field of dentistry through the Stanley Institute. The Stanley Institute focuses on promoting clinical excellence through hands-on exercises, live surgeries and straightforward information for other general dentists.
