At Stanley Dentistry, we loving giving back to the Wake County community in any way we can. We decided that this summer, we would focus our outreach efforts on our furry friends in need. Post COVID-19 life has been hard for a lot of people — which means it’s also been hard on the pets that depend on those people. In many households, pet care is the first thing to get cut when bills start piling up. The number of starving dogs, cats, and critters went up dramatically during COVID-19 and still has yet to go back down. This is why we teamed up with the amazing folks over at Friends of Wake County Animal Center and Comfort Hounds Heating and AC to put together a pet food drive through FWCAC’s No Empty Bowl Project.
The FWCAC started the No Empty Bowl Project in March 2020 after realizing the toll the pandemic was taking on pets in the area. Since its creation, the No Empty Bowl Project has helped feed hundreds of hungry pets by partnering with charitable local companies. We’re more than excited to be one of those companies helping out the pet population of Wake County!
Our pet food drive with FWCAC will begin on July 19 and end on July 29. We will be accepting non-perishable pet food donations in our lobby during our normal business hours. Comfort Hounds will also be accepting donations at their office. Click here for their address and directions.
If you’re unsure what to buy, look over this Amazon wishlist FWCAC created. It lists items that the organization needs most.
Thank you for your support! We hope to see you soon!
